Myths & Memories is giving me the opportunity to delve into some fun and wild subjects I may have never thought to explore. Cryptozoology is certainly a deep rabbit hole. I’ll be highlighting Illinois Cryptids but include ones from other parts of the world also. Other paintings will illustrate some of my memories both recent and of growing up on the farm.
The funny thing about myths is one myth leads you to three more stories. Each character has their own backstory. Myths are stories of genuine historical events that serve to unfold part of the world view of a people or explain a practice, belief, or natural phenomenon. Gods and Goddesses, wild beasts and heroes make for a wild adventure. This year is the Year of the Dragon, it lead me into the Chinese calendar and more.

The exhibition is now installed, and you are cordially invited to experience it in person. Visit the gallery at Fondulac Bank in East Peoria, known for its distinctive clock tower which inspired the name "Time Gallery". The gallery is accessible during bank operating hours. Simply take the elevator to the 2nd floor, and you'll arrive at the art space like magic! Enjoy your visit!
